Real Men Don’t Buy Girls

There are currently around 27 million Women being trafficked around the world into “Sex Slavery” This may come as a shock to you but it is also happening in our own countries. During the 2012 olympics there is almost a guarantee that more women will be brought into the U.K. To be forcefully placed into prostitution. If your like me this news is very upsetting and infuriating but we CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!! A21 is a campaign movement that is attempting to make a difference and help rescue the victims of Human Trafficking please check out the website and see how you can get involved!

Spend time with Jesus

I just been looking at a lot of the tweets that people have been sending us and some of you guys have been asking us why after you’ve prayed to God for the hard things to change or for him to speak to you that you’ve felt like nothing happened?

Is there something wrong with you?????

NOT AT ALL!!!!

The thing is we cant put how Jesus works into a formula and give it to you because Jesus isn’t a science experiment……He is a person! And hearing and seeing him help us in our lives comes from spending time with him. Not just one time but investing regular time to get to know who he is and how he can help us.

Personally I find God speaks to me most when I put on some chill music (mostly christian worship songs) and pray for a while telling God whats going on in my life and then asking him to speak to me and tell me what he has to say about everything. Sometimes I do this for 20 minutes sometimes for an hour or two. The amount of time isn’t important  but what is important is that we spend regular time getting to know Jesus.

Ive got more to say about this and more things that will be helpful for you guys to know how to connect with God better and know what hes saying so be on the lookout!

Jesus really can make a difference!!!

I often find myself asking the same question after we have just finished a week in a different school, as the excitement starts to wind down and life goes back to normal…….Did people really understand why we came?

Yes we came to share our music with you guys and have a great time! and yes we came to give you an R.E. lesson crazier then you average R.E. lesson, BUT the most important thing that you guys can take away from having us in your school is that JESUS CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE!!!!

When you know how much he loves you and what he went through to show it…..It changes everything! Suddenly you realize its not about the cloths you wear or the things you buy or even the people around that make you special. Its the fact that you are you and for God thats good enough!

If you ask me and the rest of the band we will openly tell you that having Jesus in our lives is the best thing thats ever happend to us and has brought us some of the happiest moments of our lives, but like any good relationship you have we know that it hasn’t been without commitment and hard work! There is no way you can get to know someone without spending time with them and learning about them. Which is why its so important for those of you who want to know God to Start going to the the Christian groups in your school and to your local Youth Groups to learn what the bible says about God and about you and how you can experience the amazing love that he has for you!

And remember that God is always there and he hears us when we talk to him even when we dont understand how!  All you have to do is speak and he listens! Not to mention, the best part is that he speaks back! Sometimes with answers we want to hear and sometimes with the challenge to trust him and his way, but as it says in the bible “ If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.” (Jeremiah 29:13) So dont be afraid to look!

I wish you guys the best on your discoveries!

Ashley Baptiste from x-factor is a Christian?

Apparently former member of the risk Ashley baptiste has left the group because of the differences in his Christian faith in contrast with those of his bandmates and the show as a whole. You can read more about it from an article found in the link below:

All I want to say to the guy is WELL DONE BRO!!! In a society thats so focused on fame and fortune and living for yourself, its a breath of fresh air to see someone whos willing to stand up for what they believe even if it means “Missing out” on what we think “success” is. Proud of you man!!
